Zhong Weihe

      D., professor, doctoral supervisor. He is the leader of professional translation education in China, the first proponent and founder of the professional degree of Bachelor of Translation and Master of Translation. He is currently the Co-President of Qiaoxin Group, President of Whampoa College, Distinguished Chair Professor of City University of Macau, Honorary President of Xi’an Institute of Translation, Chief Expert of Guangdong Institute of Science and Technology, Executive Vice President of China Translation Association and Director of Interpretation Committee, Vice Chairman of National Steering Committee of Postgraduate Education in Translation.
        He was the President of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, the Vice Chairman of the Steering Committee on Teaching of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the Ministry of Education, and the Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Teaching of English. He is also a member of the National Leading Talents in Philosophy and Social Sciences Program of the Ministry of Publicity, a member of the “Cultural Talents and ‘Four Batches’ Talents” of the Ministry of Propaganda, a member of the New Century Excellent Talents Support Program of the Ministry of Education, a national candidate of the “New Century Hundred Million Talents Project”, and a member of the National Committee of the National Committee of the National Committee of the Ministry of Education. He is also a national candidate for the “New Century Hundred Million Talents Project” and an expert who enjoys special allowance from the State Council. At present, he is also the chairman of the Teaching Collaborative Group of Translation in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, a member of the English Expert Committee of the National Translation Professional Qualification Examination, the president of Guangdong Translation Association, the second decision-making expert of Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government, and a member of the Advisory Committee of Regent College of Oxford University.
