      She is currently the Deputy Director of the UN Office for South-South Cooperation and chairs a number of strategic cooperation initiatives in the UN system to support enhanced cooperation among developing countries to jointly promote global sustainable development. She has led key projects including the Global South-South Development Expo, the Land and Sea Silk Road Urban Sustainable Development Program, the Young Leaders Development Program in Developing Countries, and the South-South Star, a global and UN system knowledge sharing and partnership matching platform. She also founded the Global South-South Thinkers network of think tanks, which includes over 200 think tanks from developing countries.
      Ms. Wang joined the United Nations in 2002 and has worked for UNDP in China and New York in the areas of education, health, democratic governance, disaster management, HIV/AIDS, gender equality, poverty alleviation and South-South cooperation, and previously worked for the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of China and the Asia-Europe Foundation. Wang graduated from Ocean University of China in 1995 with a B.A. in English Language and Literature, received her M.A. in British Studies from Beijing Foreign Studies University in 1998, her postgraduate degree in Industrial Psychology from Stellenbosch University in South Africa in 2004, and she received a PhD in education and international development from the University of London in 2009.
