Youth United Nations International Organization Cloud Training Certificate Program

Program Description:
      Through the cooperation with the United Nations International Organizations , the “ Youth United Nations International Organization Cloud Practical Training Certificate Program” combines the relevant thematic content of United Nations International Organizations on youth development, and creates opportunities for participants to directly participate in the work practice of international organizations related projects, mainly including in-depth understanding of the UN operation system and multilateral diplomacy, academic training on social welfare, diplomatic consultation training and career development planning. The main objective of the program is to help the participants enhance their international understanding, international professional competence, and competitiveness in international organizations through practical activities. The program helps young students to move from “getting closer” to international organizations and participating in related activities and projects to “getting into” international organizations and working in the field in the future.

Main Contents:
    (1) UN Global System and Multilateral Diplomacy
The program will provide a live link to the four headquarters of the United Nations in New York, Geneva, Austria and Nairobi, Kenya, as well as the headquarters and branches of many international organizations in Bangkok, Thailand, Seoul, Korea, Athens, Greece and Kinshasa, DRC, etc., to learn more about the organizational structure, operational mechanisms and theories of multilateral diplomacy of the United Nations.
      (2) Diplomacy and Leadership Training
The students will be able to visit international organizations such as the World Trade Organization, World Health Organization, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, UN Women, UNICEF, UNESCO, etc. through remote online visits. In addition, students will learn and participate in role-playing in the online Model United Nations and learn skills such as debating, mediation, negotiation and other related skills, in the process of understanding international rules and enhancing competitiveness.
     (3) Overseas Workplace Employability and Career Planning
The program will invite current human resource officers of UN international organizations and current interns of international organizations to teach the latest UN employment information and application skills, laying a solid foundation for the students to work in international organizations of the UN. The program focuses more on practical training, and participants will experience the working mode of the UN international organizations.
     (4) Academic Literacy Enhancement
As the most important intergovernmental organization in the world, the UN has to deal with a variety of global development-related topics, such as administrative support to governments. To ensure accurate administrative support, the UN needs to conduct in-depth research, compile facts and evidence, and propose policy solutions to specific issues in a country or region. Therefore, learning to write policy proposals can help students to improve their academic and professional skills.
