Youth CLUB Project

Program Description:
      The “Youth CLUB” program is an in-depth cooperation with UNICEF China office and other international organizations, combining the content of the international organizations on youth development, creating opportunities for participants to directly participate in the work of international organizations on economic and social, cultural and sports, health and education, environmental safety, poverty alleviation, women and children and other related projects, and helps participants to enrich their knowledge, exercise their abilities and improve their competitiveness in practical activities. The program is dedicated to helping young participants move from “getting closer” to international organizations and participating in related activities and projects to “entering” international organizations and working in the field in the future.

Main Contents:
       (1) Research on international organizations
The program will be led by the international organizations of the United Nations, and the students of the project institutions will actively participate in various activities to call for and raise awareness of the work of UNICEF among the students and faculty of the institutions and local citizens. The program will focus on cultivating a global perspective among the young participants, strengthening their in-depth understanding of UNICEF, and promoting the participants to maximize their initiative, explore and mobilize their inner potential, and enrich their career development skills.
       (2) Understanding the rules of international civil service work
The practice of the Youth CLUB members in the project has some similarities with the work of international civil servants. Through regular training and information dissemination by UNICEF China office , participants learn the code of conduct, core competencies, and value system of international civil servants. They learn to focus on collective wisdom, enhance and gain insight into their own career orientation development, and lay the foundation and path for their future entry into international organizations of the United Nations.
       (3) Participate in and help promote UNICEF programs
Youth participants in the program join actual UNICEF projects and are fully involved in and contribute to the implementation of activities. During the implementation process, they are required to interact, communicate, analyze, and cooperate with team members and other team members at all times, making friendships, networking, and improving communication and collaboration skills in the process. This program focuses more on teamwork and collective honor, and it is also a test of the participants’ individual understanding and practice of collective consciousness, constantly playing to their individual strengths and gathering their advantages to form a team with high standing, strength and emotion. Before and after the program, participants are required to know and understand UNICEF’s development goals in advance, and to contribute to the development of UNICEF.
