Li Yuan

      D., professor, doctoral supervisor, German Humboldt Scholar; now in charge of the “Global Engagement Program”, Zhejiang University, the base for the development of international competence of Zhejiang University students, and as the director of the secretariat. He is also a member of the German Sub-Committee of the Teaching Steering Committee of Foreign Languages and Literatures in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, the head of the National German Teacher Development Center, and an expert of the German curriculum standard-setting group for secondary schools of the Ministry of Education. He is also the head of the national first-class undergraduate program, the head of the Zhejiang Province “First-class Course”, the head of the Zhejiang Province Curriculum Civics Model Course, the head of the Zhejiang University International Organization Elite Talent Program, and the director of the Secretariat of the Zhejiang University International Student Training Base. He was the former Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Languages of Zhejiang University.
       His main research interests are German linguistics and applied linguistics, cross-cultural studies, and international talent training. He has published 5 monographs, 5 edited books, 10 textbooks and more than 70 papers in important academic journals at home and abroad. He won the first prize of the Teaching Achievement Award of Zhejiang Province and the first prize of the “Curriculum Civics” micro-lesson competition of the First College Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition of Zhejiang Province.
